XPS is an acronym that stands for Xtreme Performance System. Dell XPS refers to a line of gaming computers that are of high end quality. Dell is apparently selling these computers. Also, the model is equipped with 1024MB ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card or with 512MB ATI Radeon HD 3670. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Windows 7, and Blu-Ray ROM combo drive or a DVD+/- RW. One has the option to put leather accents on the lid. The full body is silver and onyx black. Another feature is the illuminated QWERTY keyboard, which most buyers find interesting.

Studio XPS 13 (M1340)

This model is somewhat similar to the XPS Studio 16 model. The difference is that it is trimmed down to 13.3” 720p 16:10 aspect ratio screen. It also has an illuminated QWERTY keyboard. It also features its leather accents on its lid. The full body of the laptop is silver and piano black. The integrated Nvidia GeForce 9500M GE and Nvidia 9400M G are the current offerings of the Studio XPS graphics. The Nvidia GeForce 9500M GE is composed of a discrete GeForce 9200M GS and an integrated GeForce 9400M G. The Nvidia 9400M G used in this model is the same used in 13” Macbooks and Macbook Air.

You can switch between the 9400M G with the 9200 GS in Windows Vista and the 9400M G running stand alone if this is configured with the 9500M GE. This is much like with Apple products that you do not need to restart. This is because of the availability of Hybrid SLI.

XPS M1730

This particular model is 17” XPS Dell laptops computer newest version. The model offers LED lighting in the touchpad that is software- and user-changeable. Other offerings include speaker grills and fan inlets and outlets.
