Asus EeePC 901

Better than its predecessor EeePC 900, this ultra portable EeePC 901 is faster, larger, stylishly made with a better battery life and more enhanced features and components. It displays an 8.9” widescreen with 1024×600 pixel resolution, possessing 1.6GHz Intel N270 Atom CPU processor and 1GB of RAM and more efficient CPU. The connectivity is made with high-speed standard Wireless 802.11 b/g, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It appears to be a contemporary aesthetic notebook but the keyboard is visibly small. The Lithium-ion battery has a prolonged life, with good memory storage 1GB with Linux OS. The primary hard drive is of 20 GB, and the notebook is embedded with good stereo speakers.

 

Asus UL50Vt

An impressive notebook with brushed aluminum lid and a subtle embedded logo especially designed mainly for business class, it has Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 chip with 1.3GHz, with 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a switchable graphics solution with the higher performance NVIDIA NV G210M 512MB chip at the cost of some battery life. The 5600mAh 84Wh battery claims to hold the battery life for up to 12 hours. The UL50Vt’s display is a 15.6” 1366×769 LCD but is not that great resolution with cramped keyboard. Looking at the networking side, the UL50Vt supports gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n wireless networking, along with a Bluetooth. A super-multi DVD burner is placed on the right-hand side along with Ethernet and VGA out, while the left-hand side features a media card reader, HDMI, audio and two USB ports. RRP: A.
